Just landed yesterday from a new friend in Switzerland, who tells me I'm just the third owner of this beauty, after himself and the original owner. Universal Geneve Tri-Compax 12253, 18k yellow gold, from the 1946-49 period based on the serial. The only other one I've ever seen here on OF is from @Northernman. Couldn't be happier. And I'll also add to my earlier thread for anyone interested in the rather unusual placement of the stamps on the OUTSIDE of the caseback... @billving @LouS

Thanks ... need to pull a couple of the UG fleet out of the bank.. I miss em. Was gonna go today but the watchmaker called.

New income, a lovely Uni-Compax with very rare "spillini" case and a lovely (imho) minimal and not so usual dial, in perfect conditions 😀
