Some Bulovas certainly qualify!

I know ulackfocus is gone, but I have this very same watch sitting on my desk right now,

And an inexpensive Omega oddity, although I have seen at least 2 of these posted on here in the last couple of years (I think the ref is 650). Although missing a second hand.

Yes, the last of the In-house chronometer movement constellations. The 168.0062/ 368.0855.

They came in a variety of materials, and with a wide range of dials. White/Silver, Blue, Black and i’ve even seen a deep purple One that looked absolutely awesome.

Some of the dials tend to „spider“.

I just love the bracelet of this ref and the over all design.

They used to trade for way under 1k € ... but now the only ones I can find are with dealers, and most of them have been horribly refinished or overpolished.

If anyone sees a stainless steel one with a blue dial, or purple dial, shoot me a pm 😀.

Cheers,

Max

I just saw one in person a couple weeks back. It was the stainless steel one. That is one funky bracelet. Make sure it fits you before buying.

Has to be this one:

Bought it for peanuts many years ago in Havana. It belonged to the original owner and came with the box as well. Just an honest, small and cheap mechanical watch.

Ok so here is a random one....
My first few watches growing up were Timex Expeditions...I remember have a few different examples over the years.
When I was still pretty young, before my teens, there was a video game that came out on the Sega Dreamcast called Shenmue.
This was around 1999-2000. Even though it was not really a major game when it was originally released, it developed a somewhat cult following, and despite not being a huge hit, it often comes up on some of the "best ever" lists for video games.
Still with me?
Anyway, the game was an EXTREMELY detail oriented (even by today's standards) action/adventure game that had a number of licensed products.
One of those products, was a Timex Expedition T43371...

And here it is in video game form...

latest

So obviously I thought this watch was quite cool so just for fun I decided to see if I could find one floating around and sure enough, I did.
A few of them.
However, because of their connection with Shenmue, they usually command a price of anywhere between $200-$600!
So, for now, I am holding off.
So I guess this is pretty valuable, for a Timex at least, but they are still very hard to come by, and a watch that most people would just think...WTF is that?

Half my collection fits that title

First this early black dial Connie from1953, bumper 354, bought with both papers, box, original and unmolested OEM elephant leather strap (not the one pictured below).

A couple of Seiko Silverwave from the 60’s

These poorman’s Heuer...

... or poorman’s Cairelli

One bulky electro meca diver, Aquadive model 50 from the 70’s...

... still on duty as a sub watch

it’s restoration internet link : http://www.deskdivers.com/Site/AD50resto.html

Trio of 60’s General Service Hamilton, aka poorman’s Mk 11; the 24h dial variant being the hardest to find

Very fond of this Kontiki Super, circa mid 60’s

One lovely Benrus Sky Chief chronograph

Both not so common, not very valuable either (in today’s market trend), but with an high loveable factor to me 🥰

My First watch given to me by my dad when i was 12 in 1961. Gains 2 sec/day. likely not worth much, but I'd never sell it. It introduced me to an interest in wristwatches and clocks, vintage cars, tractors. Didn't realize, of course, at the time how significant a triple date complication was. This is my "poor man's" Patek Triple Date. lol

Slava Transistor. A true accutron 214 clone. Not expensive as you can get them under $500. They are still rare as they didnt make very many and gave them to high ranking military and dignitaries. You can use 214 index wheels in them, but it requires rejeweling. Cool watches though. Mine has an inscription from a russian officer.

Interesting to see this set. I would like to share mine. And I do agree that it deserves to listed in this thread.

they are pretty valuable nowadays...

yeah I don't think you could touch any of these for less than a grand on ebay these days - if they came up at all. Not super common to see these.
