I think there may have been two Omegas. The first may have been a white Speedmaster (?)given by Astrid to Michael. The second, I'm not sure: the one worn by Nick Young thruout the whole movie. Looked like a vintage Seamaster, late 1950s or early 60s.

I gasped when I saw the vintage Daytona - that was no Panda Speedmaster (or was it?)

And yeah, what was Nick Young wearing?

You may be correct about the Daytona.

I thought it seemed like a 14k vintage De Ville with date, but I wasn't able to get a good look.

Interesting. If this is so, then she took a step down in the movie. In the book, she gives Michael a Vacheron.

I haven't seen the movie yet (this week sometime), but could it have been a Vacheron Overseas Chronograph if it's a panda dial chronograph?

I'm pretty sure the film showed a Newman Daytona — they may have changed the piece from the Vacheron due to the Philips auction.

I've heard from friends from Hong Kong, you can go to watch gatherings there of 30+ people where every single person has a rolex mil-sub, and most have 'entry level vintage daytonas' =O

Yes I am pretty sure Nick Young’s watch is one of the De Ville, maybe ref 166.020, with date, gold case, and sunburst dial.

I think a more humble watch compared to the Richard Mille and Daytona fits his character and his values.

Pretty bad and boring movie though, I don’t understand why people are so excited about it. Glad I didn’t have to pay for the ticket 😜

This movie gave me credit as a chick flick to use for a better movie, Mile 22.

That reminds me a little of my birth year De Ville
I love those faceted numerals. I have an early 1960s Longines with similar style.

What a great story, well done Eric! I had been looking forward to seing the movie, and now even more so!

I read that there was bodyguard for the Daytona round the clock during the filming.

Still not sure how I would feel if I was the owner. You can't guard against someone inadvertently dropping the watch.

May have been insured.
