Just wanted to follow up on this thread now that it has been a few months since W&W.

Has anyone on the forum purchased one yet? Has anyone seen them in stores/boutiques?

I have been wondering whether these would be readily available like all other IWC watches or if they are creating an artificial shortage. A few have popped up on eBay and C24, all listed higher than an already high MSRP.

So I saw this in the IWC Boutique in LA

Sorry for the terrible pic. But I was impressed. The dial really is stunning

Pricing is a bit high. But I put myself on their list, which they say is 2 years...so it does look like they are restricting supply

Sorry, but a 2 year wait for a SS IWC? Ridiculous.

So I just looked on C24, there only a handful of these IWC's shown, but all in the $15k range. Yikes! There are SO many other watches I would consider in this price range, and under, but maybe the demand is there.

Two years!? That's absurd. I don't believe the production process for this watch is any different than their other mass produced watches.

Interesting tactic on their part as well. Integrated steel sports watches are not nearly as popular as they were 1-2 years ago. Who knows what new trends will be popular two years from now.

I will still hold out and hope these appear on the secondary market for a big discount.
