My Watchco SM300 crown has progressively gotten worse since I bought it 2 years ago. Nervous about taking it in and having it’s authenticity questioned.

Can anyone recommend a trusted watch maker in the SF Bay Area. Don’t mind shipping the watch either.

I'm curious about this issue. I'm guessing that Omega won't service them? I think I've read of Omega refusing to service a Seamaster 300 Master Co-axial because the second hand had been changed to a lollipop to make it looked like the Bond Spectre edition.

Use this link to find a certified watchmaker in your area.

Let me assure you that not all watchmakers on that list are good or trustworthy. There's at least one on that list I have had dealings with and he's an incompetent butcher. I think the OP is asking for a watchmaker someone has had personal good work from.

Use to live in the bay area before I moved to MT about 5 years ago. I used this watchmaker before I moved he worked on my Heuer Bund and serviced my Eterna kontiki super idf and my Benrus type II issued diver so he knows his way around vintage Jason did a good job. Link below. Not many watchmakers can work on clocks and watches they usually specialize in one or the other he also serviced my Seth Thomas No.2 vintage regulator clock.

BTTT. Still looking for some more vouches. I'm even fine shipping my watch out. I used to use Watchmakers Intl, but my last experience with shipping my item back left a bad taste in my mouth.

I had a nice experience with World Time in San Jose, who serviced two speedmasters for me last year. Service was friendly and knowledgeable. Giovanni Passalacqua in San Francisco has serviced a Rolex for me as well and I was happy with the service. I understand he does Omega as well but don't have any experience directly.

I am however a relative newby so don't have a wide range of experience, take with a grain of salt!

They're among the top 4-5 in the world for Rolex and Omega, in my opinion. Absolutely impeccable work, and the main guy is a collector, so he knows about (not) polishing vintage watches.
