The timepiece gentleman does a similar thing but he’s gone from zero to $35million in 3 years...

Second hand watch market in the Uk was £22billion in 2020. How they come up with these figures I don’t know.

I don’t understand flipping as I never see watches up for sale at prices that would allow for any profit, certainly not enough to run a business on! People seem very clued up about the value of their watches. So anyone any idea how it works?

Well he’s bought himself a house and an Audi R8, claims gross profit to be 10%, given the number of people they employ (very few) he’s doing ok?

I watched the first lesson... nothing of value in it other than to tell you about all the people that have done it and that you can too... just $500 (reduced from $30,000,000 of course) was you can join the course. Ideal for watch collectors and traders alike... apparently.

Whenever I’ve used consultants they ask you a bunch of questions, regurgitate all your answers in a report and say, here you go this is what I recommend. Best example I have is KPMG (I think it was them but certainly a top 6) auditing Jaguar, charge of services £400million. Recommendation for saving money, remove free snacks and drinks, put in vending machines, globally this saves you £400million. Jaguar employees... our bosses are so petty, I’m working to rule... cost to Jaguar £billions. Jaguar reinstated biscuits pretty quickly. I like to call it biscuit gate.

A handful of year ago Verizon Business did away with coffee makers (free coffee) and prohibited personal machines, forcing employees to walk through the building and buy from the coffee vendor in the cafeteria. They eliminated the landscaping service. Ripped away personal cubby spaces and went to an open 'hotel' model -- carry all your stuff home with you every day and back in the morning... Lots of crap to show their employees how much they were valued.

Yeah, Lesco was rather, um, painting with a broad brush of racism there.

FWIW, folks that don't know, the timepiece "gentleman" referenced earlier in the thread is now in prison.
