The Speedmaster reduced uses a piggyback chronograph module with limited parts availability. As a result if you take it to most independents, they will decline to service it and ask you to send it to Omega instead, or some may offer to service the base movement without the piggyback module as a half measure.

Your best bet with these is to just send it to Omega as then you will have a totally fresh movement and a warranty. It won’t be cheap but such is the cost of owning a Speedmaster reduced.
