·1960’s Austin Watch Co. Needs a nice trip to the spa but keeping good time thus far. I believed it to be an A Schild 1885. Now I’m not so sure I’m correct. Any guesses?

·Well it's certainly an AS movement, look up the ranfitt site, my guess is 1885/86 but many of the AS auto movements have that automatic reversing bridge set up. However the calibre number is always written under the balance wheel on these and you can see some text in your photo.

·Thanks! That was my initial thought but I started second guessing myself. Now to figure out if it’s going on a Bulang and Sons beads of rice or go with Forstner. Not fond of the cheap black strap that’s on it.
What's the beat rate of the movement?
Get you phone camera on macro and look at the numbers under the balance.
