Nothing specific but if something pops up and I have the money then I will buy it. Been quiet on the watch buying front this year, one JB Champion bracelet, a casio, a unimatic and a Hamilton psr gold coloured re issue. I keep thinking I will sell some watches and buy a big ticket watch purchase but I like having choices so maybe that is not the route to go down for me.

2021 is going to be for finding my birth year (1985) Rolex. Either 5513 or the 16760 coke.

I hope you find some of these. I could look at that diver dial all day long. Stunning.

I already have an exceedingly uncommon rose gold plated version (two known so far) and a diver version sans bezel. I had set my mind on hunting down a bezel for the latter and yesterday got into contact with a guy who is going to produce a small aftermarket batch of those - good times!

I purchased a few vintage watches in 2020, so 2021 will be mostly about modern (famous last words). Specifically:

OP 41mm coral
AnOrdain Model 1 Fume (grey dial)

The year of the dial for me!

Black dialled stainless steel early Polerouter
Modern Speedy

I bought a lot in 2020. Looking forward to narrowing my focus a little!

Any others like me have had to down-grade the list from watches to being happy just to complete existing watch projects, and thus the hunt is for parts?

I have a list of parts for a few projects, I spent a lots of time in that this year. I really enjoy it. But trying to find a westclox vintage dial is hard. One of the projects

I have been sooo bad in 2020 (thank you to all my enablers) that I really shouldn't be thinking of getting anything in 2021..... but - still lusting after:
a vintage Seamaster Mark II racing --- you know who you are!
Grand Seiko SBGW 235 - love that cream dial, blue hands and no date - a manual wind (am I nuts?) ::facepalm1::

I have been struck by the Heuer bug really bad, really lusting for a Skipper, Monaco green dial, Autavia orangeman or Autavia GMT ( I don't know if my bank account can stand any one of these but a guy can dream ....) 👍

And finally, my ongoing unicorn search, a birthyear 1957 Connie --- in excellent condition.

Why not go for broke! A Rolex Unicorn. They are around. I view collecting watches like attending a buffet. I select whatever takes my fancy.

New Globemaster SS/Blue/SS or GO Pano equivalent (lockdowns permitting long enough to actually try on - so far, longest odds on this list)
Excellent IWC cal 88 with attractive case and clean dial
Cal 712 Connie on Milanese

A SS, linen dialed, date only, C-Case. That I can afford. Yes, I know: not much in the world of grails, but like I was with Speedys, I was a bit late to the Genta party; now I love the damn things. As apparently do many others.

I am a Connie-less OF member. Man, that’s an awful thing to see in print. 🤦

The TinTin Speedy is one of the watches I'd like to acquire one day.
I would want one in like-new condition with the full kit.

There are always a few for sale, but hoping to find a nice one at a reasonable price.
