Watch for Mrs Flingit - Longines - Meganfox?

So I have plenty of time to put this together so time is not of the essence. Mrs Fling loves horses and riding horses and she LOVES the Kentucky Derby and tries to throw a "Derby party" every year. Longines is long time sponsor of the Kentucky Derby. I would like to get Mrs Fling a Longines watch for our anniversary in October. She has an Ebel mother of pearl dial quartz with bracelet (round face) that she loves and wears daily for everything. I like to get her a Longines "rectangle" style quartz and then get a pink or white or.........band for it as a more casual "fun" watch with a bit of meaning behind it (Longines). See men/women behind the watch for a recent photo of Mrs Fling. Mrs Fling is quite petite. I would appreciate any thoughts/opinions as I search for this gift. I am open minded to all ideas but we must stay within the Longines brand. Feedback on watches and bands appreciated!

Dear @Flingit1200s

So Kind of You to mention my name , it's kindda embarassing actually.... Ha6x!

Longines ? That's So Easy Mr.Fling. My beloved late mother had a Longines , my Dad goes to the Penang Tuft Club for the weekend racing derby & my bro has a Legend Divers in his collection so i know what i'm talking about. Get Mrs Fling the Longines Equestrian series. Hands Down its a Winner ! 1e0184e4cdadce2596cbfa5d4f613c27.jpg

Here are the other choices

Ask Mrs Fling what is the name of the horse that won the Kentucky Derby last year . My Dad had placed a small bet on a horse called Firing Line if i can remember correctly..

Nice! Thanks Megan. I am open to any and all ideas. Mrs Fling promises that she won't take the watch back (the strap......hmmm.....) like some of my other gifts. She wants quartz......she thinks winding a watch is silly. 馃榿

Have you seen this:

https://omegaforums.net/threads/post-your-longineseses.472/ ?

Go vintage, you won't regret it 馃榾

Vintage is definitely an option. I'll see if I can get her to pose for a wrist shot today so you can see what her style is. The only absolute must is it must be Longines and it must have a common size band........this is supposed to be the fun watch that I can swap on a pink gator strap one week, a light yellow the week after, white the third......................馃槈

Hi there,

I actually like the watch @meganfox17 picked, although I think most Longines lovers are vintage Longines fans like myself.
The one below, actually, could be a good option.
Automatic movement (convenient), the dial seems legit (others more seasoned than me should confirm though).
Pretty good deal at 320 euros...

And this one, of course, is pretty spectacular, but I'd be worried it could be a redial --others here again would have to chime in:

Well, Mrs Fling got a little surprise Friday. She wanted something with a white face that was "fun". I found a decent price on this 30mm with bracelet and then bought a white and pink lizard strap as well. She likes it! Thanks all for the ideas.

It does look fun -- but thanks to @meganfox17, I discovered this Longines Equestrian and it looks pretty damn good. I might veer off military watches for a bit....

That's one of the fun, but sometimes tricky parts of this forum. Its easy to get introduced to, and intrigued by, watches that we normally wouldn't come across.

Mrs. would've loved the Equestrian if her desire was for a work/dress watch. I'm definitely going to keep it in mind when the time is right. Definitely not wasted advice! I appreciate you ladies very much!

@meganfox17 part of the idea behind the watch was to buy her new straps periodically as small surprises. The watch requires a 15mm band. If you come across a strap you think would work well, feel free to post a pic or link!

@meganfox17 would you or your father be offended if I bet his picks tomorrow? We make small wagers through Twin Spires each year and Mrs Fling is pestering me to make my picks!

Hi Mr @Flingit1200s

Ha6x! You people are Funny[emoji1] We would be flattered of course but seriously the favourites will not win. Forget the odds . All 20 superb horses have a chance & apparently the track will be dry on a warm sunny Saturday. There's another horse called Gun Runner at 10/1 will finish among the top 4. One of thing to look out for. Are there any grey horses running ? I'm not sure about which running horse is grey . But If that horse hits the front , it is almost near impossible to overtake it !
