hi all So, MrsC has decided she wants a new, sporty watch. I recently got her a 28mm Aqua Terra, which she wears to work. Now she is thinking of something sporty - she likes the diver style more than the chrono - she doesn't want a black face - probably 36mm is the largest she could do - not fussed about brand - quartz may be more practical, as I think she would be annoyed about having to set time/date, as she will probably only wear it on weekends (or perhaps this is my excuse to get a watch winder) She quite likes my seamaster 300 But was intrigued by this So, I'm looking for your views, recommendations, etc. BUT, as I will be showing MrsC this thread, let's avoid the sort of jokes and humour we usually descend to when discussing other halves!
Well, there are many sporty options around the main luxury brands. I personally think that seamaster is really nice on a girl's wrist.
What about the small diameter SKX? Skx013. It's 36mm I forget what the Pepsi bezel variant number is.
I believe SKX015 is the Pepsi and SKX017 is the orange dial. Seems to be variation in case diameters quoted on different sites - some 36mm, some 38mm (maybe measurement with and without crown?)
Hi, Has she looked at the Doxa 200T ladies version in 35mm? Not as nice as say a Omega or Rolex but has the colorful dial.
Maybe a midsize Tudor Sub in blue, like what @Modest_Proposal sold a while back: Or the even smaller 31mm: Or a Nomos Ahoi Minimatik, in case you must buy new (although these wear larger than 36mm): If you don't mind older vintage, perhaps a 35mm compressor case, like a Hamilton: Oris Aquis Ladies:
I'd do this. My wife wears the full size every day and loves it (she told me if I ever sell it she's going to divorce me [emoji27]).
You recently got her a watch and she wants another??? Sounds like she ought to join the forum She has been bitten. What about Tudor BB 36? That is one good looking watch with a hint of diver.
A quick wander around the web seems to indicate that these are fairly rare beasts. Best source I've come across is the well known Japanese seller eLady at around the $1k mark. Good luck with your hunt
