Hi all, newbie here.

New to the hobby but most certainly caught the bug, I've got a planet ocean chrono and moonwatch as a nice start to my collection.

I wondered if anyone could advise on a cleaning/care kit to keep them looking pristine?

Thanks in advance.

Heh you might not like this not-fancy answer but; a soft bristle toothbrush, warm water and a Costco eyeglasses cleaning cloth are what I use for modern watches, with pressure tests. Works like a charm for me.

maybe I should start selling a “luxury watch cleaning kit” with a Swiss-made soft bristle brush, neutral pH distilled cleaning solution, and a deluxe nano-fiber cleaning cloth?

of course, I would just fill it with what you just recommended.

And for the Super Premium Luxury kit add the Angel Tears DNA remover (or eyeglass cleaner alcohol spray bottle).

I was thinking a kit might few drops of Kano sili-Croil followed by a rinse of evapO-rust, 99percent isopropol (ethanol is banned in California.) then a wash with triple distilled de ionized water, ::sarcasm::
But I would only use such on my rusty chronographs.

I really want to find an AD who can do a good job with my speedmaster . The crystal is badly scratched. I think I buffed it out once in a friends clock shop, but the scratches re-appeared. They might have been caused by something I was wearing. I may also be misremembering, I also at the time wore a mechanical swatch and the Lemania 863 Tissot chronograph.

I suspect a good microfiber cloth is probably the best.

There are some I wash in the sink with a scrub brusuh with Dawn, rinse, dry with microfiber. Obviously modern-ish watches with 50m water resistance, known service.

The rest I use eyeglass cleaner, which is isoproponol in a spray bottle, spritz it all over and wipe well with microfiber.

For the watches that I swim with, I rinse them with fresh water as soon as it is possible, usually while I take shower (cold water). For the rest of the cases, I follow the same principles posted above.
