You know when you are going through a period of horological abstinence, or at least from a purchasing perspective, and then something pops up that you simply can't leave?

This early 90s Chronomat 81950 came my way and is now back from the shop, freshly serviced with a new balance wheel and re-lumed hands. It's on a Hersh aligator embossed, with OEM buckle.

The dial is lightly patinated, the crystal is perfect, and the lume is nicely aged to balance the brighter gold accents.

The hardest thing to source was one of the gold bezel studs between the quarter markers.

Very happy with it as a 30+ year veteran tool watch with a little bit of bling.
