I slept in a lead Paint cot as a kid,

As I understand it, not really a concern unless the lead paint was loose and you ingested it, or it was agitated by something like sanding the paint, causing particulate.

I need to get me a pair of these Undark radium-buckled slippers. As long as I don't keep them in an airtight container, I should be ok.

Babies like nothing better than gnawing on a cot rail when they're teething. Know this from 1st hand experience as a parent.

I keep 35kg of mostly lead (in the form of galena) in my loungeroom and I'm not worried.

Whatever you do, do not open the box near an open flame. 🙄

Not radium-related, but my mother told me that they had a shoe-fitting machine using X-rays when she was a child.

Figured it out - you Brits call baby houses “cots.” We call them “cribs.” Thus, when I saw cots, I just assumed we were referring to a portable bed, which is typically not used for an infant, and anyone in it is usually past teething time.

We're talking x rays here, just like you get at the dentist or hospital.

Except they let the kiddies play with the machine??

Kind of like quicksilver, aka mercury.

Like taking a nap in a hammock with a warm breeze. This makes everything better.

I slept in a lead Paint cot as a kid, drove cars with lead fuel not that unleaded crap those vegan politicians make us use nowadays.
Bite lead split shot sinkers closed with my teeth.
And lead used to be uranium.......

What was he saying again, you can’t put a watch in your lunch box. Lucky I wear it on my wrist

Our home when growing up was all lead piping, remember in harsh winters my father sorting leaks by battering the pipe flat with a hammer.
Aye we were hardy in these days 😁
