·Hello OF members,
For sale is a Wakmann Triple Date, Valjoux 730 manual wind chronograph. Head only
Approx date, late 60's - early 70's.
This one is a catch and release and is in as found condition. No service history is known to me but the inner caseback has some markings that may have been from prior services.
This is the larger case size at approximately 39mm in diameter and 45mm lug to lug with 20 mm lug width.
Asking 2050.00 USD. OBRO
Payment by wire is preferred but Zelle and PayPal can be discussed on an individual basis. References will be required either way.
Watch and I are located in NYC, F2F is an option as well.
Any negotiated price is net to me. Price includes continental US shipping and insurance from FedEx/Parcel pro. International shipping would be at cost and also insured from FedEx/Parcel pro.
Case is in original shape and lugs are crisp. Case shows normal wear as one would expect for a watch of this age. Scratches are present and visible in the photos. Important to note that the case is plated and only the caseback is stainless steel. Crown is unsigned and pushers show wear as well
Caseback is clean and all text present as is the logo.
Dial is in overall good condition. Has some patina/ discoloration on dial face and calendar day area. Chronograph hand and day date hands match in red. Hour and minute hands show no damage and have the end piece that enclose the tritium is present and undamaged. Worth mentioning is, drag mark from bottom sub dial from approx 5 - 10. Although the dial has issues, it is still an attractive piece that shows honest wear to a piece of this age.
Please study pictures closely as I will only be accepting returns if grossly misrepresented.
I have sold and bought here on OF and have feedback in Seller profiles & reviews under the same username.
If any another information is needed/ requested please reach out by DM/ PM
Thank you!
