Smiths 6B from 1968:
A '68 SmithS 6B is a rare thing isn't it? Usually '67 if I remember. There is a list of them on MWR too I think to try and assess how many were actually issued. Lovely thing, I am happy with my common W10...lol

Yes, most are '67s. I think the consensus on numbers for them over on MWR is:
1967: c.1,000 based on known serials
1968: c.250 based on known serials

I love these watches and my 6B is a definite keeper. Good, reliable, no-nonsense field watch!

As many as that? I thought the total was thought to be around 300, but I haven't looked at the stickie for a long time.

Yes, perhaps not as rare as one thinks, but you really don’t see them often. The Navy (0552) issued pieces are the real rare ones, of course.

And, let’s face it, you don’t see THAT many people wearing W10s out in the wild! A bit niche within the military watch world...wears yours in good health! 👍

very very very (did I say very ?) envious 🥰

Edit: nothing to compare but just noticed that my Aquastar shares the same type of hands than your wonderful Mk11

... a poor consolation that is

Reissued alas, still a nice watch.

Is that a sterile dial Hamilton 6B? I don't think I have seen one of those before.
