Came across these images earlier today and possibly posted back in the mists of time, not great quality as I have them under glass but may be of interest to some? This piece as we know shouldn't really be here but worse things happen at sea
I recognise that strap...! NOS period correct RAF strap for my beloved Smiths 6B... with huge thanks to @Alpha for making the introductions for acquisition!
CWC diver batch 97, SN 300 , the higher number to be seen so far ... could it be the last of the batch ? A RN300 being number 300 is pretty cool nonetheless
Not military issue pursay but certainly New Zealand military connections to WW1.... Rolex Rebberg with screw front and back. Real nice black dial....
Dug out a couple of old jackets today in lieu of mixing with other humans. Uncle Sam always had something for us to wear, from the jungles of SE Asia to the woodlands of Europe to the deserts of the Middle East. The watch shown with the flight jacket was never worn with that jacket. At that time, I was wearing a very nondescript Bulova Accutron.
Not an issued piece, but this Waltham was worn by a member of our Canadian Expeditionary Force in WWI (found his record on the Canadian Forces website). Came to me via another OF member from the daughter of the original owner, and is now shined up and on a new strap from Vintage Watch Straps.
