A17 models from Waltham and Elgin. I’ve got a few others including a bulova. They are the youngest military watches I have, from Korean War. I just can’t decide which.
Hamilton bureau of ships canteen dive watch issued to u s navy underwater demolition teams (udt) in WWII. Udt teams became what we know as SEAL teams. I like my military watches to have been to war(or at least appear as if they have. )
Ut oh. That middle one is half a minute behind the other two. Great watches. Who would have used those and when? I assume British military.
Of course you can use standard NATO or Zulu, but I don't prefer those for most watches. I have no affiliation with either seller, but here are a couple of my favorites, and there are many others available from various sources: https://www.watch-band-center.com/watchstrap-s2556h587-Easy-Change-Straps-1.html As seen here... https://www.ebay.com/itm/Open-End-O...hash=item2a32144fc9:m:muECy4d8rODiF0JVYn3CjRAPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network These use tabs, or can be tabbed and glued. I wear mine often and prefer to tab and glue - more secure but will have to cut off for a strap change.
