·I was fascinated with the Speedmaster when seeing Jim Lovell's Apollo 8 worn watch on display at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago when I was 10. It was a main inspiration to get a Speedmaster and my story was on Fratello.

I went back to the museum today, and happy to report that it still on display. I took some pictures with my phone that aren't the best. It's behind plexiglass, in a plastic bag, and there are all sorts of lights shining down on it.
It’s really not displayed as it should be! Half the watch is covered by the plastic bag, and to make matters worse, it's unceremoniously displayed in the same case as the “Defecation collection kit” 🙁
I wish it could be in a case by itself, and displayed to see the entire watch. But good to know it's still there and fun to see it again today, 45 years later. And this time with my own Speedmaster on my wrist.
