For sale is a vintage Zenith Defy A3462 on its original GF ladder bracelet. The watch has been serviced, is running very well and has been pressure tested to 50m (definitely don't swim with it though). Dial and hands: the dial is in excellent condition. The most noticeable blemish is a dark round spot between the 5 and 6 o'clock marker. All the lume on the dial and the hands is original. The lume on the hands has been stabilized to reduce the risk of it falling out. The condition of the dial and hands are one of the best I've seen on these Zenith models. Case: 37mm in well used but good condition. Dents and scratches all over, but the original facets that define this model are clearly there. The original brushed finish can also be see on the top of the lugs. Crystal has several scratches and one chip. Some pitting can be seen on the steel ring surrounding the dial, which is were the original gasket had disintegrated. Crown: crown is a later service replacement but is correct for this model. Bracelet: the bracelet is dated 1/71. The bracelet has 12 links (5+7). I wear the watch on my 18cm wrist and there is still around 1.5 link in the clasp that could be used to provide extra length. It has some stretch but still a lot of life left. Movement: Zenith Movement 2562PC. This is a non-quickset date automatic movement. Movement is freshly serviced and running very well. The mainspring was changed during the service. I can provide before and after pictures if desired. I believe that if you are looking for a Vintage Defy A3462, it is not often that you see them in such a nice and honest condition and with the ladder bracelet. It is also ready to be worn worry-free.
