So regarding the caseback it's a 6220-5 and there is also a 64 engrave on left but perpendicular.
Serial number on the escape wheel bridge (which I assume is more a Lemania ref) is 239767.
Under balance it's C27-41.

So based on the thread you mentioned and some movements with almost same Lemania serial number but Tissot 17xxxxx, I suppose mine is from 1947.

I'm correct ?

Correct, your watch dates to 1946-47, the last years of production of the CH27. Based on the Lemania serial I would guess early 1947. The 6220-5 was the last reference variant produced in the 6220 family (two registers, round pushers, steel screwback case). Your C27-41 movement should have Incabloc.

Thanks,
Yes there is incabloc which is a very good thing from my point of view and it my first pillar wheel.
The taste of the past with the improvement of today 馃榾
Will post some picture when job will be finish but for the moment I"m waiting for some parts.

I also realized that there is a step between watch from 40's/50's compare to 70's regarding wear.
But maybe the 2 watches from the first category that I own are not enough to judge compare to the hundred from the second one that I had in hands.

I had also send an email to Tissot in case of...

Just receive and answer today :

We thank you for your e-mail, as well as the interest shown to our brand and our products.

The first research on the history of the brand was made by Estelle Fallet in the early 2000s. She wrote her book in 2003, with the knowledge at her disposal at the time.

However, the archive is still being processed. Our knowledge of the brand's history is growing every day.

Be aware, however, that the date of production of a movement may be delayed from the production date of a completed watch, a movement can be used years after its manufacture. On the other hand, when you stop producing a caliber, you use the remaining stock in the years that follow.

Most Interesting information is to know that they are digging in their archive to improve history knowledge.

Hi, never notice this but you are right.

In 1976/1977 catalog it was Navigator above Automatic and mine from 1976 has this configuration.
In an advertising from around 1975, it was Automatic above Navigator.

So not a service dial.

From when is yours ? have you the serial number of the movement otherwise ?

And the official document signed by C.Tissot.

I think that it's the deposit of the brand Tissot in one of the East country in 1928.

The Tissot logo is said to be a stylized version of the Tissot family signature. You can see the similarity in your picture

Tissot Seastar Automatic with a quick set movement and bracelet marked 2043-38670. Style suggests mid 70s production.

(anyone have a lead on extra links?)

@connieseamaster , you can use clasp extender which should be more easy to find than an additional link.
@Kargol , Not especially rare, the red one more than the silver one. Those one look to be in very good condition.

Tissot: not sure there is a vintage brand more under-stated & under-rated.

1st execution 1969 Tissot Searstar PR516 Ref. Z 40.508 - Lemania 1277

1971 Tissot PR516 Diver Ref.46622 - cal.784-2
