Spotting redials on vintage watches takes patience and study to learn the telltales. There are no shortcuts. As a rough rule of thumb, you should always be wary of clean, fresh dials on watches that are 60+ years old. Also, dials that feature black printing on a clean, white background should be carefully reviewed if not avoided altogether. Then, you would need to know that the watch you were looking at was made during an era when the dial should have sported a cursive logo that is similar to the logo on the inside caseback. Fortunately, this forum is filled with pages upon pages of threads about redials and how to spot them. A good place to start is with the stickies at the top of each forum, like this one:

With a bit of reading, you'll soon be able to analyze dials like a detective.
