The first research on the history of the brand was made by Estelle Fallet in the early 2000s. She wrote her book in 2003, with the knowledge at her disposal at the time.

However, the archive is still being processed. Our knowledge of the brand's history is growing every day.

Be aware, however, that the date of production of a movement may be delayed from the production date of a completed watch, a movement can be used years after its manufacture. On the other hand, when you stop producing a caliber, you use the remaining stock in the years that follow.

Hi, never notice this but you are right.

In 1976/1977 catalog it was Navigator above Automatic and mine from 1976 has this configuration.
In an advertising from around 1975, it was Automatic above Navigator.

So not a service dial.

From when is yours ? have you the serial number of the movement otherwise ?

The Tissot logo is said to be a stylized version of the Tissot family signature. You can see the similarity in your picture

@Kargol , Not especially rare, the red one more than the silver one. Those one look to be in very good condition.
