·Up for sale is a 1960s Eterna-Matic Centenaire Chronometer with a gold Schild family crest medallion on the caseback. This is a very uncommon and very cool watch. Please see below for details, and feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
Dial: Original silver dial features beautiful vertical brushing and is in nice condition, but it is not perfect. There are some small marks, particularly near 7, although as you can tell from the photos, most of them are only visible in some lighting.
Case: Original 35mm stainless steel case is unpolished and features a very uncommon gold Schild family crest medallion in the caseback. While uncommon, these are legitimate references found on only the Chronometer marked Centenaires (here's another example posted here on the forum recently). Full background isn't fully known on the caseback, but the Schild family was involved in the founding of Eterna, so presumably this is some sort of commemorative caseback. The case is in nice condition with the exception that the bottom-right lug is ever so slightly bent downwards. It isn't very noticeable in hand, and it doesn't impact strap fit or wearability so you could leave it as-is or have a watchmaker bend it back into position.
Crown: Original signed crown with the ball-bearing logo as expected.
Crystal: Original signed crystal with the ball bearing logo etched in the center.
Movement: Original 1439U caliber chronometer movement runs, winds, and sets well, but service history is unknown.
Strap/buckle: Comes on the black DeBeer leather strap and steel buckle pictured (not the brown one which was custom made for my small wrists).
Price is $800. I'll cover insured US shipping, and international shipping is available but options are to be discussed with the buyer. Bank transfer/Wise for payment. OF seller reviews are here. Returns are accepted if the watch is grossly misrepresented. Watch is located in the USA.
