I had a goldsmith adjust the tricky and full length Gay Frères to fit my small wrist. He ended up removing four links. What a gem.
Huge fan of Eterna. Their robustness is something only a few brands had in those days.
Here’s my latest addition, a Super-Kontiki 130-PTX with stunning dial and the rare dotted decompression bezel.
It cleaned up nicely after some toothpick-cleaning.
Hope it's all right to post my non-matic Eterna. From the 40's I presume - the "Tres Tacche" caseback prevents me from opening it on my own and learning more details. But I'm very happy with it - runs like a champ and I think it looks great on the Bradux bracelet I put on it.
That's a great looking little watch! Thanks for sharing it.
It seems to me a substantial amount of its gold cap is missing. I assumed the entire topside of the lug should be covered, but several people proposed perhaps it should be like this since the chamfer runs along smoothly on the bare steel, and all lugs show this exact thing.
Oh, yeah. My Centenaire wasn't the only watch I gave some special attention to, today.
More pics to come soon 😀
