Crown and Caliber ships their watches with a sticker seal around part of the crystal and caseback (so as to prevent tampering) and they'll accept returns per their policy as long as that sticker is intact.

If the seller has a no questions asked return policy, which is apparently the case here, the buyer is well within his rights to return the purchase, regardless of your opinion. I do agree that if there is no such policy in place and given the fact that the watch was as described, it should be an expensive lesson learned.
I agree that if the seller has a no question return policy you can send it back with no issues, that is great but it does come with a premium on the pricing of the item. I believe the premium is well worth it at times for the added security in your purchase.
I wasn't implying that the buyer in this case should not have a right to cancel the transaction, It was great that a no question return policy was in affect for this transaction.
I was just saying that it is very important to read the description and do any research before purchasing, most sellers do not offer no questions return policy.

Hi everyone, thanks for the feedback. Thank you Foo2rama and Overgrower especially, for sharing your knowledgeable insights about this particular watch.

I would, however, like to take a moment to share an observation more generally. I must admit, it felt like a couple of comments were critical of me personally. I won't pretend like I'm wise and knowledgeable like all of you... in fact I'm quite plainly the least knowledgeable person in this forum... I'm new to your world after all. If I have misread your comments, I do apologize. I just wanted to share the point of view of a new member, ignorant though I may be!

Thank you again everyone,
Arlen

The irony of this is that one of the perpetrators is whining, in another thread, about negativity on the board.

I don't recall being negative to this member.
I recall stating I was happy that he was able to cancel the transaction.
Asking questions is how we all learn.
