Catch and release for me, as I bought it for an original Tropic strap it had on it.

This fun vintage dive watch is labelled "Bercona Sport", and features a bidirectional bezel with world time scale in addition to dive timer. Hard to see in photos but the original tritium lume has that characteristic light green hue of the early 1970s. Given that the watch is 37mm (bezel is 38mm) I think it's probably from that time period. The crystal has some scratches, but everything else is in pretty good cosmetic condition! I have since cleaned the watch up a bit with a soft toothbrush.

The manual-wind movement is not running. It's clean though, with no corrosion. The time sets and the day/date switch over properly. It needs a new click spring (maybe ratchet as well), and probably a new mainspring (but the barrel and arbor are fine, as far as I can tell). The caseback also does not stay put, so I recommend keeping it on a nato until you can have a watchmaker breathe new life into it. I'll include the brown suede nato with rose gold keepers you see here.

I'm asking $45 shipped in the US which I think is a pretty decent value for a cool old watch like this. The watch is located in New York and can be picked up as well, for a $10 discount. I can't accept a return on this watch since I've already got a couple other skindivers that need attention. Please consider these photos part of the description, and do please ask me if you'd like any other photos.

Up, it's just sitting there taking up space right now :/ It's a great modern size, with 20mm lugs so no annoying searches for odd-size straps!

What movement is in there?

Please see the 3rd photo from the top; markings are "RL" in a star, Cal. 1117, and ZI 2. I was not able to find any info from that but you may be more successful.

How difficult will it be to find parts?
It's 45 bucks and a single jewel... I would not worry about it, wear it until it no longer works. Should be ok if it's in time spec right now. If your concerned get it serviced. You should be good for a decade or so. A little poly watch and this will shine!

The watch is currently not running, and I have identified that it seems to be missing a click spring (easily fabricated by a watchmaker, from what I can gather) and probably needs a new mainspring (easily bought and installed by a watchmaker). All of the other parts including the mainspring barrel and arbor appear to be in good shape.

Oh that’s simple to fix.

Thanks, Adam!

When she arrives I will have two tasks:

Get it fixed then figure out how it works.
