As a point of reference I recently sold this 14700 for $525.00.

and this was a mistake 馃榿 (at least the watch is still living inside OF-universe)

It's not a crazy price, but not a bargain given the condition of the dial. I'm not against appealing patina, but I'll be honest, there's something about that dial that just looks dirty to me. You really need to ask yourself if you find it attractive, aside from the price.

Another stil from video. Couldn't it just be the crystal that messes things up? I think it looks pretty clean here apart from the glare and cloudiness from the bad crystal?

it looks like there could have been moisture at one time. The dial is unattractive to me. And I'd be concerned abut the state of the movement.

That would of course not be good.

It appears to be original, with the condition that forum members have called out.

It really depends on how much you like the watch and how attached you are to your $430. If it's money you can live without, and think you'll be happy with the condition of the watch, you won't be doing too bad.

As stated, it cannot be said conclusively from those pictures what condition the dial is in. I think it will turn out very average, looking a bit dirty and aged, without any real attraction. There鈥檚 a chance (very slim, in my opinion) that they dial turns out to be a cracker. Either way it鈥檚 a gamble. I don鈥檛 think the balance between price and potential+likelihood of upside make this an attractive proposition. Only you can decide if it鈥檚 attractive for you to gamble on.

I advise holding out for nicer dial you will be happy with. Particularly early in your collection period get something that won鈥檛 disappoint

I have a hard time making a judgement about the dial condition when the crystal is so cloudy/messed up. It is like pulling up shag carpetting on an old house... odds are you find asbestos linoleum, but it might just be mint hard woods 馃榾

At $430, probably not worth the risk, but that is also possibly a small-enough amount(comparatively) to take a risk on and see if it is somewhat attractive under the fog.

Taking risks is for later in your collecting career, when more knowledge tilts the odds in your favour.
