This is my grandfathers old watch. It has been transferred from box to box for probably 30+ years. As you can see the crystal is in rough shape along with the case. The pictures make it look far worse than it is in person. And under the crystal looks near perfect on the face of the watch. It works perfectly.

    1. I plan to wear this and am wondering what are the best practices for getting it cleaned and the crystal repaired etc? What would you recommend?

    2. I'd like an approximate value and year. I'm afraid to take the back off but will have a watch person do it eventually. It has a small engraving on the back.

    3. Where can I find either an original or appropriate band for this?

    Hi and welcome here!

    Beautiful watch, congrats!!

    1. Bring the watch for service and crystal polishing / replacement to an independant watchmaker.
If you let us know where you live maybe you can get some recommodation here.
Do not send the watch to Omage

    2. watch should be produced between 1966 and 1970, reference number would be 145.006 or 145.016 either with 321 or 861 movement

    3. Do you look for an metal bracelet? If yes a 1116 Bracelet with 548 End links would be correct

    Nice reading here:

    Beautiful watch.
In the pics it looks like a solid gold version.
    Is it steel or gold?

    kind regards Max

I'm not 100 percent sure, but it is quite heavy for its size.

I thought it is stainless steel...

If it should be massiv gold than this would add a lot of value of course...

I forgot I had posted about this watch here when I posted it again today. My bad. You were right 145.016.

Yes indeed, you can see the hall mark on the inside of the caseback.

Quite a lovely heirloom! This should look great after a service and with a new or polished crystal. It will take time, it won't be cheap, but so definitely worth it.

    Congratulations!
