Hey Folks.

I was just informed that a friend of a friend wanted to purchase a Rolex while visiting the Antique district in New Orleans.

She's debating between a GMT and submariner.

Can you experts help me out please? Do these look authentic to you guys?

Thanks!
Brian

Both watches look overpriced, & unexceptional

I entirely recognise the ephemeral thrill of ‘scoring’ a good deal, at a strange venue

But, I would council your friend to sleep on it for, AT LEAST, a night & reflect on whether she really wants it ?

Perhaps something less expensive would still provide the ‘buzz’ of vintage acquisition ?

Plenty more ‘pebbles on the beach’…

They look authentic, but not vintage. Also, it seems to me that this is an expensive way to buy a pre-owned Rolex, given the high asking prices, especially when you consider sales tax. I used to live there, and I think the sales tax was nearly 9%.

@ICONO @Dan S

Thank's so much for your feedback.

I summarized your sentiment and I think she got the message.

I steered her to the private sales forums here and to hqmilton.com

Thanks!
