I’m sure it’s a silly question, but with the crown on the left in it’s not a position, which way do you wind, is it up or down?
And can it hurt the 1002 if wound in the Wong direction. Or overwound?

thank you

Thank you. Was looking over it and gave it a good wind. Then I got worried was winding the wrong way. Can it cause damage?

Its automatic, just give it a shake!

I can’t answer the original question, but once he gets that, he should wind it about 15 times before wearing if he hasn’t worn it for a while.

When looking straight at the crown, turn the crown clockwise to wind.

Make life easy: unscrew crown. Turn watch until crown is in familiar position; right side. Wind as always. Enjoy life.

Thanks for helping me out. So if i get it right (and i am new to vintage and vintage ploprofs), I wind the square part of the crown clockwise when viewed from this angle?
