·Hi all,
having decided to keep on listing some watches I don't wear so much, I hereby put up for sale my Moeris Excellence oversize from the 50s.
Moeris is well known among collectors for having produced some very nice models with great inner values for the money back in the day and this watch is definitely one of them.
Oversize stainless steel case measures 38.5x45mm excluded original unsigned crown and appears to be untouched, with sharp edges and very light signs of wear here and there. Because of long lugs it sits impressively on the wrist, a real vintage jumbo.
Original dual tone dial is in good shape for its age, showing a warm and uniform patina and just a couple of specks a bit more evident just around the cool applied logo, as well as cool are the red dashes at the arabic cardinal indexes. Fab Suisse is there as it should be, at 6, just partially hidden by the tension ring / distortion of the curvature of the plexi, which is probably aftermarket. Original hands set.
But the party piece here is definitely the 13''' inhouse manual winding movement with its patented microregulation, among the nicest calibers I've ever had the pleasure to see. I bought the watch locally last year as freshly serviced and it actually keeps good time, but since I don't have any proof of that, I prefer to sell it as last service unknown.
Watch comes on a generic good quality dark brown leather band almost new.
