Vintage Omega Seamaster Sheikh Dial Rose Gold Value

my husband has this old watch. It was given to him approximately 30 years ago by his father in law. He was told it was rose gold. By googling it seems to be worth something. We know nothing watches and their value. It has been worn quite a bit and has some scuffs. Do you all have any idea on the value?

It's just a blur in the photo, you will need to try to little harder to post good photos. These were sometimes commissioned by Arab royalty or leaders, and given as gifts. Some people collect them, assuming it's legit.

If the case is solid gold (e.g. 14k or 18k), that it a good starting point for valuation. Get the weight and gold composition and calculate the value of the gold.

Sorry. Didn’t realize they were blurry. But the face is so dark it’s hard to get good pics. He was told 30 years ago by his father in law who was a state senator and a member of Oklahoma house of representatives that it was a gift from a sheik but that’s all we know.

I am sure that is correct.

If you taking the picture with a cellphone, try touching the screen to make it focus on the dial.

Anyway, here is another “Sheik” watch with a gold capped case.

Most of the ones I’ve seen like this were solid gold, but you’ll need to have a watchmaker open it up to see the hallmarks inside.
