Vintage Omega Seamaster - Replica?

Hi everyone,

I bought this Omega Seamaster at a fair recently, and I'm wondering if it's a fake or not. I know the crown and case back are both not original, but I was hoping the rest was. I'd appreciate if anyone could lend me some knowledge as I haven't got a clue.

I will add more pictures later if required.

Thanks,
Ben

It doesn't look like an Omega movement. I think the actual manufacturer's stamp is under the balance wheel

It's a counterfeit watch. Commonly called a fake.

A trashy case and dial with a reasonably good Adolph Schild AS 1130 movement.

First time I've ever seen a movement engraved "Seamaster".

Very much appreciate the replies guys! Unfortunately I jumped into buying it rather impulsively. Atleast it will provide me with a reminder to not be so hasty when buying something. I was somewhat sceptical, but atleast I've learnt my lesson.

Cheers everyone!

I imagine that text says "AS 1130" as you can just see the 130. Shame! Good to know though.

Yeah, that dial should have screamed "Run Away!!!!" Good learning experience, and hopefully you did not pay more than a few dollars.

Sell your crap elsewhere. No one is buying fakes here.

Huh? I read the last post in a different tone than you, I have to say.

Reading the posts above by Mark it seems the OP is already aware it is fake as the question has been asked elsewhere but seems keen to show photos of it here. This makes me suspicious of the motive though I have been wrong many times before!

Whoaaa hold on guys you have got this completely wrong. I just wanted to know whether it was real or not 100%. I spent a fair amount of money on it and I was told by one person it was fake but wanted more opinions.

As to asking on another forum I'm not sure what you're on about? These pictures are all mine taken just recently? I definitely wont be selling it, highly doubt I'd make any profit whatsoever given what I stupidly spent on it. Plus I want to keep it as a reminder to not be so impulsive when buying things.

Ah I realise saying "if anyone is interested" was a mistake. I didn't mean interest in the form of "if you're buying" sort of thing. I was more hoping someone would tell me the case and dial were legit atleast. Since they're not, I was hoping the pictures can be used as a reference for determining future fakes.

That's the way I took your posts. Damned if you don't include photos for complete documentation and apparently damned if you do.

Thanks for the added photos. Very educational.

Well suspending my suspicions for a moment, if you were sold this as an Omega of any kind, you were the victim of a fraud, though perhaps a minor one, and should feel aggrieved. What is a shame is that if it wasn't covered in fake markings it would make for a nice cheap beater using a robust everyday AS Schild movement. As it is, it is fit for nothing more than the bin sadly. There is a fake thread on here which is worth a look, there are several on there very similar to yours, it was commonly seen back in the 60s.
