I had mine serviced recently. The corroded dial is a tricky thing: bubbles might 'pop' if you're not careful, and after putting back the hands, you're never 100% sure that they're not just a wee closer to the dial and 'decapitate' a particularly large bubble as they pass.

I was lucky: my watchmaker's a careful bloke. This picture shows just how bad (or, in my opinion, awesome) my type 1 dial is:

That reminds me of my Tudor Sub Snow flake with its bubbly dial.
