wow this thread is a mess and that tuxedo pan is a bombshell

I also want a tuxedo but a very impractical watch since the crystal seals it and there's no caseback
Yeah, just a newbie trying to figure out his ways…
I’m trying to find alternatives to the pie pan tux, so far I’ve found Tudor and UG in a ridiculous price… say 2000$ and more, so no tux dial for me in the next few years lol

2. I'd honestly say 95%+ of Black Dialed Vintage Omegas are redialed, especially on ebay. Nice black vintage omegas do not go for cheap, especially if they are glossy dialed.
The Mad Men effect. I just assume any black dial vintage omega is a redial.

There's this poor man's tuxedo: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Omega-Wris...pid=5338899135&customid=&toolid=10001&mkevt=1 - maybe a partial re-dial

But overall my suggestion is just concentrating on 1 type of watch at a time, and comparing the watch you intend to buy to earlier examples

Your title was very well fitting "Vintage Omega on ebay - re-dial all?" - indeed pretty much all the watches you've shown were redials

eBay is quite underpriced if you just concentrate on auctions, and the auction watches are usually original, minus the usual mad men redials as @Engee pointed out
