The whole caseback is fake. The caseband appears fake as well, unless it's a solid gold case that's been over-polished. (And gold case doesn't go with steel back.) Any pictures of the inside?

So the back is not fake/counterfeit, but actually an all steel back from a later model with the medallion painted or plated yellow. The steel dog-leg caseband got similar treatment, but still look like a fake one, not genuine.
The movement and dial appear to come from a real gold dog-leg model though.

Yes, gold painted! I was thinking the same.
Whatever it is, or is trying to be, it should certainly not be bought. I'm curious as to the asking price?
