Vintage Longines Cal. 15.26 37mm: Redial Check

Bit out of my league so hope someone can help. Somebody offered me this Longines. Movement is a 15.26 with 5.6m serial. Diameter 37mm. Caseback is not marked Longines but that may be correct as far as I can see. Serial in caseback is same as on movement. According to the seller watch was serviced at the factory about a decade ago. Something was done with the hands. Dial was not touched. However: IMHO the logo seems correct but I assume the dial is at least relumed. Curious about your opinions.

Im 99.5 % sure that this is a redial. Logo isn't correct. Look at this

The S of your example is very strange... Do you have a Macro of the logo?

Indexes are very 'strange' 🤔

Seems they have put a layer of luminova in a no lume Dial 🤔🤔🤔

If the dial has been lumed and no lume on the hands is always a red flag.

Agreed but the hands were replaced by Longines during the service

These hands were sent to the seller by L after he complained about the replacement of the original hands.

It came back from the service with these hands (replacing the original hands, which are now lost)

They converted a no lume dial (no lumed hands) in a lumed dial ... 🤔🤔🤔

I don’t know the first thing about vintage Longines but my gut reaction to seeing that dial is that it’s been refinished.

Like @gilb12, I suspect that this dial has been refinished. The signature is atypical, especially the "S". The execution of the sub-dial also looks relatively poor.

Agree that it is refinished, unfortunately. I also suspect that the old hands were original, and may originally have been painted white to match the originally non-luminous dial text (which I’ve seen on several original examples of this style and era of Longines).
