I have for you today a Vintage Omega Watch, Cal 481, 17 Jewels. Watch is in my possession, looking for more info, year, more about the movement… poss value?

Case diameter about 15mm. Watch winds and does show movement balance wheel oscillates and the minute hand moves. Not sure how to set the time and crown does not appear to pull out or push in, but I have only gently attempted.

Thanks for looking!

The watch winding is done normally by winding the crown clockwise when viewed from the top of the crown.
Setting time is normal too, pull the crown out to the setting position and set the time by turning the crown in either direction.
If it's difficult, there may be dried grease/corrosion on the setting lever and parts so a service should rememdy that.

The caliber 481 was produced in the Marc Favre factory (under the Omega umbrella) from 1955 onwards in quantities exceeding 1,135,000 for the 480/481/482/483 series..
I would date your watch to 1958 based on the serial number.
Value can be determined by search for sold items on auctions and eBay using "Omega 2778" to search.

Here is the CK 2778 version of your watch (CK = Stainless steel). Your watch would be reference DB 2778 (DB = 20 microns Gold Plated).

Does the 14 on 2778-14 denote 14k plating?

No. It’s a production batch number. To be candid, the watch has no value.
