Vintage IWC SCHAFFHAUSEN needing help

I am looking for my first vintage watch and encountered this one, a Vintage IWC with an 18K yellow gold CALATRAVA CASE. I would appreciate any inputs on the watch: if it's original and worth the price. I found two so far in 'good' condition.

The first watch is around $1900

Both look legit to me, although I'd need to do more research on the crowns, if that's important to you. It's hard to tell, but the second one may actually be pink gold?

Thanks for the input! Your point about the crowns is valid. I did see some vintage IWC with “Fish” Crowns.
My 50s Solid Gold IWC with original crown does not have the fish. I read the fish was only on early waterproof models. I cannot recall where I read this. It is fine without the fish.

Why would an IWC be in a Patek Philipe case? Just asking as I thought the Calatrava was/is a Patek Philipe line of watches.

I’ve seen IWCs from this era described as Calatrava on several websites.

I've seen quite a few watches described as "Calatrava" even here, but are they ? Things that make you go Hmmm.

Likewise, if there are numbers on the dial it is known as an Explorer dial. That’s just the way it is…
