Vanallard
·I purchased this Stormking last year after experiencing seller’s remorse having sold the same model to an OF member. Like the previous Stormking I owned, this one isn’t getting much wrist time.
The Storming II was manufactured from 1955-7, and was relatively expensive at the time ($150-175). You’ll often see the more common Stormking models that have stainless cases or stainless backs.
Really unique quadrant dial with solid 18k gold markers.
Grade 735 manually wound movement. Service history is not known but the watch keeps time (exact accuracy has not been checked) and winds smoothly.
The watch weighs approximately 28 grams with the movement, so there’s likely about 13 grams of gold in the case. Measures approximately 33mm not including the crown but wears larger on the wrist IMO.
Hamilton signed crown.
Price: 700 USD by Wise plus shipping from Canada. I figure this price is within 10% of the scrap gold value, as such, the price is firm.
Watch head only. A generic leather strap can be included with sale.
No trades.
