Hi Friends, for your consideration is a stainless GP chronograph in excellent condition. This GP has the original dial. The dial is very nice, with just the right age for it to look really beautiful while retaining some “wisdom”. Please notice the nice Telemetre scale on the inner dial!

The movement is in excellent condition and has been just recently serviced by a chronograph specialist here in North Carolina. The movement is a Universal Geneve model #285, which is stamped right on the bridge. This is an excellent movement from Universal Geneve, and it functions as it should with chronograph functions. As mentioned, it had been recently serviced. I really like the provenance of the caseback. It says, “Mike Miller, Outstanding Service, Oregon Shipbuilding”. I wish we could meet Mike and hear some of his stories! The strap is a new leather strap which goes nicely with the black hands on the dial.

Price is $1450. This includes postage and insurance. Pictures are below. My ID is updyke on ebay if you want to check me out. My rating is 100% and I have 584 feedbacks. Thanks for your time.

Beautiful chronograph. I know many think it decreases the value of a watch with personal inscriptions on the back but I feel just the opposite most of the time. And this is certainly one of those times. Bupdyke is spot on, makes you really want to meet Mike and hear some stories. Makes you more conscious that you are wearing a vintage watch with a history.

What is the diameter?

Thank you Bruce! You were great to deal with, I couldn't be happier with the watch and the transaction.
