Vintage Constellation: Identification/Potential Valuation?

Hey Omega fans

Some background first.

I'm a total watch novice outside of the research I've done over the last few days. I've inherited this watch from my father. He had collected a few Omega watches over the years, though this seems to be the only one with its original strap/buckle and therefore might be of interest to a collector. I've struggled finding this model on the internet so I figured you kind people might be able to help me out.

My questions are as follows: Is this a legit Omega watch? When do we think it was produced? What could it potentially be worth?

I'd appreciate any help from this community that can point me in the right direction. I've got a couple of others but are mainly just the original cases themselves rather than the case + strap and buckle.

If the pictures aren't high enough quality do let me know and I'll post higher quality ones.

It's looking like a more modern quartz version of the Constellation "Manhattan". It's legit but not much of a collector watch so perhaps post pictures of the other Omegas your dad had?

Looks legit. Like Fred said it’s a Manhattan style. Production would be late 80s or 90s. The early original Manhattan had the numerals on the dial, not the bezel. Value I don’t know. I’d guess a few hundred USD maybe. They aren’t really sought after. Here are a couple links for some reading.

Short write up on the original early 80s Manhattan.

That should get you started to find more.

Thanks for the reply mate. I agree it looks like a Manhattan having done a bit of research, was a long shot thinking it might be collectable but I'm sure it might make a nice gift some day!

I will post some of the others later to this thread. Have got a Seamaster, another constellation, and a De Ville case.

Thanks for the articles mate, was very interesting reading. A few hundred USD wouldn't be so bad, though I may just keep it to give as a gift at some point in the future.

Appreciate the response!

Sounds good! However, maybe don't post pictures of the other Omegas here. Please send the pictures to me so I can buy them cheap then post them here myself in the sales section and get some of these members to pay me big money. You can wear the Manhattan in good health 😁

Your watch it's possible to have some defects at the date mechanism..The hour which the watch indicate it not suppose to change the date and in your picture it seems that the date is changing.

That isn't a terribly desirable watch, unfortunately, and the strap and buckle don't matter much. If some of the other watches are older, they could be more interesting.

I noticed that too. Was thinking maybe someone had pulled the crown and half flipped the date and left it. Or maybe it’s stuck. Could be a problem.

You will find out once I post them for sale 😁
I hope you will start a blog to document for us how quickly you turn that $200 into $100,000. I look forward to reading it.

I'm still working on my luxurious lifestyle blog where I can blather on with pure fluff and no substance on whatever currently might be the most expensive watch.
