Hello to all members,

I hope you guys doing well.

After the last time, I got a lot of knowledgeable recommendations to select a good vintage watch. However, I still need your expert opinion and please help me get through this watch.

I found out that this watch is a vintage white dial omega constellation with a bumper automatic movement (ref.2782-9SC, Cal.354). The seller claimed that this watch has never replaced by any elements.

However, when I researched this OMEGA FORUMS for a while, I had never seen any example of a shortened size of "CHRONOMETRE" as the picture.

How are you guys thinking about this watch, please recommend me for the proper price.

I do really appreciate every kind of helps.

Proper price would be ZERO, looks like a poorly refinished dial.

Many things wrong with it.

At first thought, I was only concerned about the shortened word "CHRONOMETRE" which I normally found this word longer than "AUTOMATIC". Can you please recommend me other elements that seem to be wrong?

Text is a little janky for starters, did you compare it with other references?

I could but you wouldnt learn anything that way. What I would suggest is that you look at past for sale listings of the exact reference you are interested in here on the forums. Start to read the descriptions and take note of what is original and what is listed as replaced. Then you can start to build a foundation of knowledge about the reference and start to recognize when things look off.
