Hi folks,

I'm new here and I hope you can help me solve a mystery with my omega piece.

How can it be dated as I can't find nothing anywhere on the case and caseback.

It's a wonderful little bumper that after service keeps excellent time.

Any input that you offer will be highly appreciated

Thanks and stay safe folks!

Hi, the case is not original.

Movement can be dated by movement number.

Dial looks original to me (not a redial) but it's not in the best condition. Same for the movement, it's quite tired and the steel components appear to have been cleaned from rust.

Watch is also missing a caseback gasket.

I suspected it that I might be a re-case. Not pleased to hear that but and am happy to know this in case I decide to sell it.

Thank you!

Anybody know how I can fix it?

You have an approximate movement date now and the fact that the case has none of the traditional Omega markings could mean that it's a local production case.

Uncased Omega movements were shipped to many countries to be assembled into cases made by local case makers.

What country are you in?
Do you know of the history of the watch?

Well it seems you already own this watch, so I would first change the crystal and put a nice rough leather strap, and see how it looks : it could become a nice little daily wearer !
