Looking to buy the pictured watch, a CWC deal (in Canada). Just wanted to check with the experts here, looks legit?

That is real but ultra polished, especially that bottom right lug which is covered by a finger in one of the photos, dial condition is also poor. I’d pass on that one.

All genuine but the dial lets it down. Gold cap always looks a bit softer than plain SS or gold, but this looks a bit too soft.

Unless it's very cheap and you can live with the issues I'd pass.

IMO the Genta dog leg design needs leg edges to be really sharp : I would pass on that one.

I'm not so sure actually, we've seen a few super sharp examples around here. Sharp enough that I couldnt really make out a difference to solid gold or steel, while the example above, well - there's just not much left of it's original form.

I respectfully disagree. My gold capped 14900. One of the sharpest examples that I’ve seen of this reference.

While there are superb examples of gold capped dog legs (such as the one above) they are not as sharp as SS or gold examples IMO.
The gold cap is formed to a shape and then bonded to the base structure, and I don't think the press forming produces the same definition as machined / ground surfaces/edges/facets.

Again, only my opinion, and I'm not putting down any watches using gold cap finish.

The back is terrible, I can't even see some of the stars.
