·Hi everyone
I'm selling this very rare 1963 seamaster. This is one of the very few that have survived from 1963, the first year of production.
Everything is legit in this watch :
- Acrylic bezel with thin font only made for this model
- double bevel on the casesback
-flat crown with narrow Omega logo
- sword hand
- movement s/n beginning with 20
- 60's tropic strap (not original)
the watch has just been serviced. Some parts have been changed :
- balance
- setting lever spring + screws
- dial screw
- stem
about the crystal : the crystal shows some cracks. I prefered not to change it as it's the original one with the same logo as on the crown. A new sealed crystal will come with it if you feel like changing it. The second hand shows some lack of paint in the middle but I prefered to let it as it was.
Not that I just finished servicing it today and that the case washer will be changed tomorrow.
apart from that the watch is untouched, never polished. The dial shows some traces of age. Movement works fine despite a little low amplitude (about 240°). there's absolutly no rust anywhere. Winds up and sets very fine.
I'm asking a rather high price due to rarity. 9000 dollars or best offer...
