I learned my lesson - never put up information on OF on an auction that is above to happen - not only did I shot myself in the foot - my whole leg was shot of😀😀😀

I really hope the buyer will appreciate it - and it’s an OF member😉

At least, if it's a member you know he is a passionate person.

I think you at the least deserve First Dibs if he ever decides to let her go to a new home... after all, if it weren't for you, it wouldn't be his!

... but be sure and ask for it! 😁

I like Triple C watches but for this model it’s Dial, Dial, Dial so Triple D and for the early SM 300s it’s Triple B - Bezel, Bezel, Bezel.

Maybe it’s then comforting to know I had a max of 2000€, so you wouldn’t have gotten it cheaper without posting here. 😀

Congrats @Cozmopak. Enjoy the watch and post some more pictures when you get it.

I’m fine with the sale - I’m just happy that another OF-member got it - so at least it’s in the “family”😎

As promised, here the photographs of this beauty. She is ticking away well, but has an appointment with Mr. Simon Freese in December just to make doubly sure that everything is kosher.

In my reading I learned that approximately 50,000 of these Omega Cosmic Moonphase watches were produced between the late 1940s and early 1950s, many of which ended up in South America. The majority of them have disappeared or have been so badly damaged that they’re nearly unrecognizable. As many of you know, they were prone to water damage due to their weak water resistance. The caliber 381 movement ticking away in them is a close cousin to the legendary 321 movement, both designed by Piguet, although this 381 movement was not in-house and was actually built by Lemania.
