Hi all, going to Vegas in May, 1 year late with 3 friends. We are all 51 now so I’m looking for some nuggets regards going for a drink, food maybe in and around the strip. We are staying at the MGM Park so not high rollers but it’s been 15 years since I was last there.
Thanks for taking time to respond if you do.

Last time I visited for a work conference, I had spent the prior week in Istanbul. The transition was jarring. I see no reason to return. Stay out of trouble. There are some decent restaurants I guess.

I stay at Aria a couple times a year. Go there to get a break from the usual over the top Vegas strip atmosphere. It's got a cool modern vibe. Lemongrass (Thai) is my go to restaurant at Aria. Also my favorite poker room if you play. Park MGM is very close proximity wise.

The shows are unforgettable, the gaming tables, not so much.
Dine, wine and love !
Your gambling luck shouldn't determine your experience.
Visit the strip, the old Vegas (Golden Nugget, Etc.), the buffet's, especially the seafood at Rio, Bellagio and most.

See it all once, that is enough for most.

I live in Henderson, don't go to the Strip or Downtown too often (only when guests are in town), but a few suggestions based on your location: Eataly in the Park MGM is good for lunch/dinner, if the fresh bread counter is open in the lower section (it was closed during covid) get a loaf of bread to go with whatever meals you all pick. Tacos El Gordo on the strip is good for authentic Mexican Street Tacos. If you need a break from gambling/strippers 😁 head to the south end of the strip and the Pinball Museum, always good for a couple of hours of innocent fun. Just off the strip on Spring Mountain road, west of the strip is some really good asian food (all varieties, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Thai, etc.), check Yelp for suggestions. One of my faves is Orchid Vietnamese Restaurant which is really good. A lot of folks like to visit the speakeasys that are hidden around different properties on the strip, look online for the hidden entrances.

Thank you for offer something away from the strip, will note all these. Appreciate you taking the time.
