Valjoux 69 ?

The 10.5 ligne valjoux 69 is an interesting movement to me and seems a mostly undocumented history. The caliber powered what are known widely as 'petite' or 'baby' chronographs, and I believe it was the smallest chronograph produced. I've owned one before (Gallet Officer), and I have just traded a friend for another (Minerva).

Less than 4k are said to have been produced and these seem to have been spread widely across manufacturers including the aforementioned Gallet and Minerva, along with Rolex, Universal Genève, Eterna, Heuer, Mathey Tissot, Jules Jurgenson, and I'm sure more.

This is the best reference I've been able to find: https://www.google.com/amp/s/reference.grail-watch.com/movement/valjoux-69/amp/

Anyone have any more complete information, advertisements, etc?

Ill try to dig up a photo of the inside of the case back (and movement) as I believe I have them. The movement and inside of the case back are signed "Ed Heuer & Co with a JXS import code on the balance. In my limited research I believe this was/is an Aerotel watch (made by Heuer) as Aerotel watches of the period sported a JXS import code. I had the dial refinished as it was previously refinished already, and the prior job looked awful. It is a tiny 28mm, but believe it or not has pretty great wrist presence due to the thickness of the case. The Val 69 inside runs surprisingly well.

Before refinishing (old refinish present)

Mine recently acquired very rare ref .5418 with a very delicate, maybe unique case made by Gunther & Co SA.

Valjoux Cal. 69 was produced from 1936 through 1966, with just 3,964 made in that time.

I was on a hunt for a spectacular baby chrono with a Valjoux 69 caliber for many years. Very difficult to source a perfect and unmolested specimen.
